BGD ANDA Paraglider: Lightweight Freedom for Explorers and Beginners Alike

The BGD ANDA Paraglider is a versatile, lightweight glider crafted for hike-and-fly enthusiasts, weekend explorers, and progressing pilots. Whether you’re climbing mountains for early morning flights or launching into evening thermals, the ANDA adapts to your style—offering exceptional ease of use, smooth handling, and high passive safety. It’s not just a paraglider—it’s your invitation to explore.

Right from the start, the BGD ANDA Paraglider makes life easier. Because of its lightweight construction, the wing inflates effortlessly—even in low wind. Whether you’re launching on a narrow alpine slope or from a grassy field, the takeoff remains smooth and predictable. As a result, you’ll conserve energy and focus more on enjoying the moment. Furthermore, the ANDA’s compact packing size allows you to hike further, travel lighter.https://www.instagram.com/paragliding_explorer_wing_shop?igsh=bGg2dWxqNzQ1bzF4&utm_source=qr

BGD ANDA Paraglider

This glider’s true character emerges. Pilots experience a well-balanced wing that reacts intuitively to brake input while remaining incredibly forgiving. Tight, coordinated turns make thermalling fun and efficient. Therefore, climbing becomes smoother and more efficient—even in weaker lift. Also, its predictable behavior reduces stress, allowing newer pilots to build confidence and refine their skills over time.https://paraglidingexplorer.com/product/skywalk-pepper-cross/

Despite its lightweight profile, the BGD ANDA Paraglider doesn’t compromise on durability. Using a carefully chosen blend of ultralight yet robust materials, it holds up well against regular use. Additionally, reinforced attachment points and optimized internal structure contribute to the wing’s long-term reliability. So, you can take it on countless flights, from quick descents to full-day mountain adventures.

Moreover, the wing’s EN-A certification ensures a high level of passive safety. Even when conditions become unpredictable, the glider’s stability and pitch resistance provide a reassuring ride. Consequently, it’s an ideal choice for beginner pilots as well as seasoned flyers looking for a second wing for relaxed flights or travel.

Finally, the ANDA’s clean design and advanced aerodynamic shaping provide surprisingly solid glide performance for a lightweight wing. You won’t just enjoy short flights—you’ll stay up longer, fly farther, and discover more.

In conclusion, the BGD ANDA Paraglider is the perfect balance of lightweight design, safety, and performance. Whether you’re chasing thermals or summits, this wing helps you fly freely and confidently—wherever the adventure takes you.

TARGET

The Anda was developed as a lightweight EN-A wing that’s beginner-friendly. It’s a hike-and-fly wing that anyone can fly, and packable for travelling with. It has good performance and fun handling, so you can ride the early-morning thermals, soar the sunset cliffs or launch from a high mountain safe in the knowledge you have a good reach to the landing. It would be a good first wing for a careful new pilot who enjoys hiking, but as with all lightweight wings, it needs to be treated with care.

DESIGNER’S NOTES BGD ANDA Paraglider

It’s been quite a journey for the R&D team, exploring materials and techniques to make a wing that is light, easy and safe, with soaring and thermalling performance. All the materials were selected so the Anda has the best balance of light weight and usability; we kept it light, but a little extra weight was accepted if we felt it really improved handling or durability.

The sail is double-coated Porcher Skytex 27, with now-proven longevity. The unsheathed Kevlar lines are the latest Edelrid Pro Dry, whose new treatment makes them 60% more water repellent.

The Anda comes with softlinks as standard – they are strong and light and avoid the hard points in the link between pilot and wing. Maintaining flexible materials from the riser through to the lines and up to the wing simply makes sense. It is both lighter and more elegant. It’s not often you’ll need to undo the soft links, but we made a video to show how quick and easy it is if you need to. (Just to the right of this text, or below on mobiles)

The risers are easy-handling 12mm Kevlar with lightly-padded handles and our snap locks for the brakes. Snap locks have now become industry standard since BGD introduced them back in 2016. Like the Base 2 Lite, the speed bar attachments are Universal knots rather than Brummel hooks. They are universal so attach easily to either loops or fist knots or Brummell hooks and they don’t come undone when you don’t want them to.
